Lodging opportunities are available within and outside of park boundaries.

Inside Yellowstone National Park you'll find hotels, cabins, and campgrounds. You can reserve some campsites while others are first come first serve. For all lodging and camping reservations within the park, call Xanterra at 1-866-GEYSERLAND (866-439-7375) . Note that hotel rooms and campsites fill up quickly inside the park.

Outside Yellowstone National Park you'll find a handful of communities that offer a variety of lodging options.

  • South: Grand Teton National Park borders the southern entrance to the park. Further south you'll run into Jackson, Wyoming.
  • East: The small community of East Yellowstone is just outside the East Entrance. Just beyond is Cody Wyoming.
  • Northeast: At the Northeast Entrance lies Cooke City and Silvergate, Montana. Further northeast is the town of Red Lodge.
  • North: At the north entrance is the small town of Gardiner. Continue north to Livingston and Bozeman, Montana.
  • West: Directly at the West Entrance is the aptly named town of West Yellowstone.

The Yellowstone area offers some of the most unique natural features and one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in the west. There is so much to see and do in Yellowstone. With five main entrances to the park, you will easily find a place to stay that suits your needs.
