Jackson, Wyoming and Idaho Falls, Idaho are like night and day. One is a mountain town, home to just over 10,000 residents, located at the base of Grand Teton National Park. The other is a bustling city, located in the midst of eastern Idaho farmland, with a population of around 100,000.

While Idaho Falls may not provide the aesthetic wonders or recreational opportunities that you will find closer to the Grand Tetons, it is a well stocked stomping ground for visitors traveling to the area, providing many additional amenities, stores, and transportation needs that you might not be able to find closer to Jackson.

Flights into the Idaho Falls Regional Airport tend to be much less expensive than flights directly into Jackson. And with only an hours drive, it is well worth flying into and renting a car in Idaho Falls.

Lodging options are endless. You'll find everything from budget motels to luxurious hotels. Also discover a number of yummy restaurants.

There are a handful of interesting attractions that are worth a visit such as the Idaho Museum (offering a new featured exhibit every year), the Idaho Falls Green Belt (a lush oasis in the middle of the city and home to the actual Idaho "water" Falls), movie theaters galore, as well as the Willard Art Center.
